This is your unique opportunity to learn the Hand Tufting technique using a tufting gun, and contribute to a collective wall hanging.

Come and join me Andrew Warburton in my studio in Mirfield for a tour of the industrial workshop and the chance to have a go at creating a little piece of hand tufting magic. This is your unique opportunity to learn the Hand Tufting technique using a tufting gun, and to contribute to a collective wall hanging. You will be able to drop in any time and have a go with the tufting gun.

The open studio and demo will be run from Area Rugs and Carpets in Mirfield and I will guide you through tufting lines into the canvas using a hand tufting gun. Your work will be incorporated onto the stretched canvas of the sample tufting frame, resulting in a one-off wall hanging created collectively with your fellow tufting participants who will all have a turn at tufting into the canvas throughout the day.

We cannot serve refreshment due to the nature of the rugs that will be laid out on display on the studio floor. Bottled water will be available.
